Pointe Intensive – Tuesday April 18th
Many teachers are concerned when it comes to progressing young students on to pointe especially if there is a variation in the ability of students within one class. This full day workshop explores all of the issues that surround this very special time for young students progressing onto pointe and will give you the tools to help your students achieve this safely. There are often many different foot types, and levels of technical capacity in any one class. However the progression of each student must be made on an individual basis. We include tips on how to ensure that each student develops as quickly as possible to the strength and mobility requirements needed to progress onto pointe safely.

Flexibility Intensive – Wednesday April 19th
The body of research & development around the art of flexibility, and especially the fascial system and it’s effect on our mobility continues to grow. Understanding the relevance of this to the dancer is essential for all students, teachers and health professionals. Many traditional stretches, and even many “Myofascial Release Techniques” may actually be doing more harm than good.

A New Approach to Core Stability – Thursday April 20th
Our understanding of how the “core” works has evolved so much over the last 5 years that we have actually completely transformed the way we teach dancers in the clinic and in the studio. It has changed so much, that one of the major back pain researchers, Physiotherapist Prof. Paul Hodges has retracted a lot of his original recommendations for isolated stabilising exercises of the low back. This course explores the natural function of the stabilising system of the low back, ways of activating this system, and a progressive system for developing optimal core control in all positions.

Understanding & Managing Hip Injuries – Friday April 21st

Thousands of dancers all over the world suffer from chronic hip pain that often prevents them from working at their full potential. This seems to be happening in younger students as the demand on young dancers increases.

Each course will be $260.00 AUD (Excl GST & Approx. 184.00 Euros)  and is strictly limited to just 10 Participants.
