In the Level 2 Colorado Session in July 2016 we will be running 3 exciting new courses:

Understanding and Managing Foot and Ankle Injuries in Dancers

Many foot and ankle injuries stem from minor technical faults, repeated over and over again. Understanding the how and why of injuries such as Plantar Fascia Pain, Achilles Tendinopathy, Stress Fractures and Bunions will give teachers the tools they need to help avoid these often preventable injuries.

For each of these injuries, and several more, we will look at:

  1. The anatomy – What is actually wrong?
  2. The main causes – and how it can be prevented
  3. How to manage this injury in the classroom
  4. The rehab process
  5. What to expect from physical therapy
  6. Taping techniques

We also look at the function of the normal foot, and common variabilities that may lead to each of the common issues developing. This course is ideal for dance teachers struggling to work with their dancers in the studio, and is also for health professionals who work with dancers who need more information about correctly rehabilitating dancers and preventing recurrence.

This course will be $300 AUD and is strictly limited to just 25 Participants.

Costs of the course includes lunch and a fully printed manual.
