This is the poster that I created to explain the process of pre pointe assessment at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) in October 2007. It won an award at the conference for “The Greatest Contribution To Dance Medicine”.
Having this poster displayed in the studio will let students know all of the things that they will be assessed on before being allowed en pointe prior to their assessments. This lets them know that pointe work is a possibility, but not inevitability when taking ballet lessons.
Download the PDF and take it to a copy store to get printed. The poster has excellent resolution up to 1.5 x 2 meters (That’s a very big poster!)
