Physiotherapist Phillipa Condous is a health practitioner who knows the dancer’s body; she has a passion for dance and loves treating performance artists from all walks of life.
She is an affable and caring physiotherapist who has worked for professional dance troupes such as The Cunningham Dance Company in New York and Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Company. In Melbourne, she has worked as a locum for the Australian Ballet and attended many of their continuing education programs.
She approaches her patients holistically combining excellent biomechanical assessment which is tailored for dance with hands-on treatment and an individual clinically based Pilates exercise rehabilitation program.
Currently, she is affiliated with several dance schools in Melbourne where she performs screening of dancers for pre-pointe preparation and for injury prevention.
She has also been involved in the education of young dancers in furthering their anatomical knowledge so as to optimise their postural alignment for dance.
She is resident Physiotherapist at The Space, Chapel Street, where  she teaches Applied Anatomy and Clinical Pilates to full-time dance students.
