Laura graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from UC Irvine with an emphasis in teaching. In 2006 she received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. She has worked for the last 15 years treating individuals of all ages for orthopedic and neurologic dysfunctions. Laura is continually updating her skills and knowledge taking advanced coursework most recently through the Gray Institute, The Franklin Method, The Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute, and Perfect Form Physiotherapy. She recently noticed a common disconnect between young dancers and their bodies that was resulting in avoidable injuries. Combining her fields of study, she strives to help others protect and balance their bodies in order to maximize their dynamic function. She lives in Truckee with her husband and two kids. She loves all things outdoors. However, her greatest passion is dance and she continues to perform all styles from ballet to hip hop.
