She then furthered her training at Laban Conservatoire of Contemporary Dance in London before completing her CDE (Certificate in Dance Education) teaching qualifications in ISTD Ballet, Modern and Tap in 2008. Since being in Canada Hannah has completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the R.A.D. (2011) and has attended the ADAPT Teacher Training School. She is Acrobatic Arts and Progressing Ballet Technique Certified and is also a Pilates instructor. Over her 15yrs of teaching dance Hannah has considerable experience choreographing group and extra work routines in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz and Lyrical. She now primarily teaches ballet and contemporary and takes a particular interest in training dancers in the safest way, with strong foundational technique and good understanding of their bodies in order to promote healthy movement and protect their bodies from injury.
Lisa has an incredible understanding of the human body and the intricacies of training dancers. The exercises are geared at helping dancers to reach their goals without pushing through unsafe ranges or movements by understanding and developing the strength/mobilization in relation to the desired movement/skill. Her passion is infectious and so much of her work has helped to inform how I teach dancers.
