Bio

Amy Karam Gilchrist performed numerous roles as a principal dancer and guest artist. A graduate of Valdosta State University, B.F.A. and M.P.A., she trained throughout the U.S. with numerous teachers and choreographers to include Edward Villella, Anne-Marie Holmes, Marianna Tcherkassky, Nan Giordano, Judith Fugate, Medhi Bahiri, and Mitchell Flanders. As a dance educator, Ms. Gilchrist has served as an instructor, ballet mistress and director at schools across the country and in Europe. She directed the Eifel Youth Dance Program in Bitburg, Germany where students from the pre-professional Eifel Youth Ensemble performed her choreography throughout Rhineland-Palatinate. Ms. Gilchrist served as a Ballet Mistress at Ballet Rincon in Tucson, Arizona and from 2011-2020, Ballet Director at Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts in Missouri. While in the Kansas City area, Ms. Gilchrist was also a professor of dance at the University of Central Missouri. In 2020, she returned to Georgia, and is a faculty member with Peachtree City School of Dance and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School. Students of Ms. Gilchrist have been accepted to university and professional programs throughout the United States.
